As I began this project, I thought it would be relatively simple. As a senior, there are many burdens and stress-inducing things around us, so I chose the topic of stress management. As I started to write the paper, I noticed how broad my topic was as everyone deals with stress in their own way, and I needed to narrow down how I approached the topic. While researching my topic, the most interesting bit of information I found was how the mind and body could greatly influence each other when put under constant stress. As I learned this, I had a kind of reality check and learned that a great deal of my stress was of my terrible time management skills; using my time wisely would be the only thing I would have changed. I hope that every once in a while, I can come back and present to teach the students of MIA the importance of stress management. As I researched and looked at other projects, I learned how far Islam’s teaching and learning extend to many aspects of our lives. My advice to next year’s seniors is to not be lazy and procrastinate because, as time goes on, this habit will one day lead us to terrible spots in life. For my project, I would give myself a B+ as I did not try my hardest; this project took a lot out of me mentally and physically. I, however, did not follow deadlines as strictly as I would have liked to.
